What, at first sight, ap- peared to be an alarmingly large number of cholera cases in a single day, was notified to the Health Au- thorities yesterday, when 16 im- cases, including one ported, were registered dur- ing the 24 hours.
On enquiry this afternoon, how ever, it was learned from the Me- dical Officer of Health (Dr. G. W. Pope) that few of the 16 cases ac tually occurred yesterday.
