LETTER FROM

THE AMERICAN TRADE COMMISSIONER.

Through your courtesy, Mrs. Barringer and I had the great pleasure of seeing a pre-view of your picture "Humanity” on' Saturday, April 23rd.

We both greatly enjoyed the plcture. As the writer spent two years In European Russin, in charge of American relief operations during the great Russian famine of those years, I can vouch for the excellent "shota" that you have show- ing real famine conditions. I think that this is a splendid picture, and, as you say, should appeal to both European and Chinese nudiences. The close-ups were particularly, good, and although in spots the photography might have been im- proved upon, on the whole I consider it a very high grade production,

Thanking you for having remembered me when you showed this picture.

I am,

Very truly yours,

́(Sgl.) THOMAS C. BARRINGER,

American Trado Commissioner.
