SCENE DESCRIBED
Shanghai, Apr. 29. Hongkow park was at noon to day the acono of a sonsational anti-Japanese outrage, na a ro- sult of which Japan's five leading chiefs woro diplomats and war wounded, four of them gravely.
The occasion of the outrago was a gigantic military display in Hongkew Park in honour of the Japanese Emperor's birthday.
Thousands of Japanese civilians were gathered in the park for the martial array. A review of over ten thousand Japanese troops was the principal foanre of the affair.
