The working account shows that 5-18,675 tous of water were sold as against $31,622 In 1930, the grossed on or before the 20th April, 1932. revenue being $8,309,50 in excess of last year, which proves that the Company's earning power has not declined but our working expense are $22,328 higher, mostly due to the slump in exchange. The main increase is in the Marine Insurancr of our boats which cost $7,139 more than in the previous year on account of their higher value in Dollars due to low exchange. This has, however, readjusted itself by about 25 per cent. on account of appreciation in exchange, and thi saving will be reflected in this year's accounts.

Other items which show cane- derable increases are Coal, Fuc Oll and Wages, but I am glad u say the cost of Fuel Oll has since been reduced, which will lower the working costs for 1932,

Investments have depreciated sympathy with the fluctuations ir exchange and stand at $37,967.56 less than last year.

The fleet has been' maintained in a high state of efficiency and dur Ing the year a new Water Boat was completed and put into commission with a Gardner full Diesel Engine, and the latest up-to-date purupinis equipment.

This makes a total of eight water boats, five of which ar steam driven and one of these will be shortly sold making four Steam and three Motor Boats,
