Chinese founders of this institution have appealed to the Government for permission to use the vast plece of land in Aber deen formerly occupied by the Tal Shing Paper Factory which purchased by the Government Hometime ago in connexion with the development of the new Aberdeen Reservoir.

The school will teach carpentry, type-setting, shoe- nisking. tailoring, etc. The founders estimate the up-keep of one student at $150, and the in- stitution 139 start will enrol about 300 studenta.

The complete course will cover six years, and it is the intention of the founders to give those ud. mitted same preliminary education in both Chinese and English. while the last three years will be devoted to the learning of handi- craft.
For students who have had some preliminary education in the Chi- nese free schools, the course can be completed in less than six years.
The founders of this school have consulted the well known firm of architects, Messrs. Hazeland and Gonella, in connexion with the con struction of the school buildings. and it is estimated that the con- struction work alone will require about $200,000,

The death of Mra, Pamela Wein- berger, whose marriage, at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton, only a few weeks ago was a big social event, was announced on Feb. 24 She was 20.
Mrs. Weinberger was a daugh- ter of the lato Admiral Sir Arthu Loveson and of Lady Leveson. She and her husband, Mr. Walter) Martin Weinberger, returned to London in the previous week from Madeira, where the honeymoon was spent.
They stayed at an hotel in the West End while Mrs. Weinborger inspected fats and furniture:
On the Friday Mra, Weinberger visited her mother at Basilman- alone, Knightsbridge, but later that day was taken suddenly ill at her hotel.
A-form of blood poisoning was diagnosed. Mrs, Weinberger died on the Tuesday.
Mr. Woinberger, Lady Leveson · and other members of the family had been constantly at her be sida.
Mrs. Weinberger was buried: at Easobourne Church, Midhurst,
Bussex, near the grave of her. father.
