THE LOCAL BY-LAWS NOW EXTENDED.
A meeting of the Sanitary Board held yesterday under the Chair- manship of the President (Mr. G. I. Sayer), passed a resolution ex- tending the anti-spitting regula tions-originally applied to Eat- ing-Houses only-to other pro- misen where contact with food Bold to the public is thought possible.
The Chairman, pursuant to notice, moved the following:

The Chairman said that those of them who were present when the Board introfured the by-laws re- gulating spitting in rating houses would remember that in seconding. The return of cases of notifiable
diseases in the Colony during the sick ended last Saturday shows that there were seven fatal cases of small- Fox, the cost of, dix of enteric fever pax, cases diphtheria, three of of which two were fatal,, and one falai case of cerebrospinal fever.
