The Tztam Stream is said to yield during dry weather about 165,000 Gallons per day. and the Conduct in its lett miles of length may double this volume making it (say) 330,000 Gallons per day, and if to this is added 370,000 Gallons per day from: Pokfoolum. there will be a minimum of 700,000 Gallons per day throughout the extreme dry seasons

The question has been locally asked May not water be obtanied by suribing wells on the Irland

or by boring? My reply is no- The substrata, Granite is not likely to

any fresh water below the sea level and most certainly the Granite will not contam much water above this level. The Mont Cenis hunnel shews that elevated mountains do not contour water. In the construction of this Tunnel water for the use of the men had to be carried in.
