Further big contributions for the relief of the Chinese civilian refugees at Shanghai have been received by the Tung Wah Hespi- tal. After five days visits to the leading Chinese firms the Direc- tors of the Hospital have anceeed- ed in collecting a total amount of $190,000, of which more than $130,000 has already been paid to the Hospital. The Hospital has romitted a total num of $140,000 to the Cantonene Club (Kwong Shiu Kung Sor) in Shanghai which has undertaken the distri- bution of the fund for the relief of the refugees.
One of the biggest contributiona comes from the Pawn Shop Owners Association which has de rided to request each pawn shop 2 donate $300. There being 151 pawn shops in Hongkong the total collection from this direction niong will amount to $45,300,
