Further big 'contributions for the relief of the Chinese civilian refugees at Shanghai have been received by the Tung Wah Hospi- tal. After five days' visits to the leading Chinese firms the Direc- torn of the Hospital have succeed. ed in collecting a total amount of $190,060, of which more than $130,000 has already been paid to the Hospital. The Hospital has remitted a a total aum of $140,000 to the Cantonene Club (Kwong Shiv Kung Sar) in Shanghai which has undertaken the distri bullon of the fund for the reliet of the refugees.
