MOTOR ACCIDENT.
CHINESE LAD DIES OF INJURIES.
A fatal motor mishap occurred Queen's Road Enst shortly after 1 pm, on Saturday, when Ng Chenk, aged 14. was struck by hire var And received injuries which resulted in his death in hospital,

Just then, a small boy, who apparently had not seen the car, forsook the Mafety of the verandah and crossed the road, appearing so suddenly, it is said, from behind the bus that the driver of the car and not sufficient time to apply his brake and pull up. The reanit was that the radiator struck the boy on the side and knocked him over. The injuries inflicted to the head and body, were of a fatal character. and the victim died the same evening after admission to the Government Civil Hospital.
The driver of the hire car has made a statement to the Traffic Offer in which he has set out the
