explanation satisfactory and must insist on the withdrawal of the statement entirely. I consider the - paragraph commencing with the
words The Brigade and ending with those in charge of it - as not conveying the correct view of the
case otherwise the Colonial
Secretary's letter of 30th January 1873 is to go for nothing.
