Vatican City, Dec. 22. Three floors of the right wing of the famous Vatican! Library, built by Pope Six- tus V. in 1588, and housing immensely valuable works of art, collapsed this afternoon.

The Fire Brigade is frantically searching in the debris in fear' that some workmen or other persons have been buried.

Luckily, however, the majority of the staff and also the workmen. engaged in the restoration of the Library had departed just before the accident.
