High Feeling.
Several times during the night feelings ran high, and several de- puties who adopted a challenging altitude left the Chamber on the advice of their colleagues, thus avoiding coming to blows inside.
When the Speaker dramatically asked the House if they approved the suntence as drawn up by the special committee, the Chamber responded with a loud "Ave" and then broke into cheers for the Re- public.
