BRITISH AUTHORITY ON. EDUCATION.
London, Dec. 4. The death occurred this mor- ning, after a severe illness. of Doctor T. J. Macnamara, a former Liberal and Coalition Minister.
During the War he was Finan- clal Secretary to the Admiralty, and afterwards for some time was Labour Minister,
He had previously been Presi- Shanghai dent of the National Union of Teachers, and was an authority on education-British Wireivua,
[The Rt. Hon. T. J. Macnamara was in his 70th year. The son of a soldier, he became a teacher in an elementary school, and later turned to scholastic journalism and the organisation of teachers. He was defeated at the various Chairs, general elections
from 1924 Oplum onward.]
