R. LLOYD GEORGE, who, it was hinted just prior to the General Election, might join hands with the Socialists, has emerged,into the limelight with a strong plea for co-operation, between the advanced Liberals and the Labour Party.
The former Liberal Premier claims that Labotir cannot become a truly National Party for at least a generation, and inys stress on the point that Liberal and Labour proposals have much in common. He therefore pleads for the cultivation of closer relations between Liberals, Labour and the progressive clements of all parties.
A further paint made is that the big and practical Liberal schemes, such as were outlined in the Yellow Book at the 1929 Election, have never yet been given a trial.
