VEGETABLE IMPORTS FROM RESUMED.

Following a vinit to Canton, of representatives of the Hongkong Fish Mongers' Association, and the numerous complaints by Canton fah dealers over the enforcement of an exportation tax on fresh water fish, the Canton authorities have promised to investigate fur- ther into the consequences of the new tax.

The flongkong representatives have returned, and meanwhile the local fish dealers have decided to Huspend trade relations with Can- ton, awaiting a final decision by the Canton Government.

Fish Imports from Shekki and Kengmoon have also been affectel, and the limited amount of fresh water fish consumed during the past; week has been obtained from the New Territories.
