The defendant's brother was charged with receiving the foun- tain pen, which belonged to Mr. Bower, knowing it to have been istaleu.
The first defendant pleaded "guilty" and was given six months' bard labour altogether.
On conviction, his Worship fined the second defendant $25 ar one month's hard labour.
According to the evidence, the second defendant was arrested in the act of pawning the fountain pen, and when questioned, said that his brother had asked him to On his information the pawn it. hotel "boy" was arrested and the other articles, which he had taken the previous night, were found.
