The first annual athletic meeting of the Eastern Football Club took pincé yesterday afternoon in flae weather before a large gathering, and some close fnlshes were seen.
In the 100 metres championship M. Subhen won, in splendid style. Loo Bing-tong proved the champion, with 18 points to his credit including threo frets and a second.
The relay race open to the Colony attracted no fewer than-ilve teams; and was won by St. Paul's College, with H. M. S. Hornes second, only a few yards behind the winners.
In a short speech in Chinese at the the Conclusion, the chairman of Eastern Football Club expressed hla appreciation to all prize donors and to those who had worked so hard to nke the sports a success, particular- ly Mr. Subhan, the averetary, and to the South China Football Club for the lean of the ground. The results were: Long Jump-1, Lee Hing-tong; 2, Leung Yu-choi; 3, K. Ram. Distance 17 ft. 5 ins.
