First and last, says fashion, remember to en- semble your necessores. They may be matched. they may be harmonized, they may be blended or conftasted, but they must be a clever C semble,
What are the distinctive phares of the new accessories now? Jewelry for evening is very lovely, very feminine, in theme with the ex- quisite femininity of the season's fashions. You will see new creations of iviny, cural, crystal and of rhinestone, too.
And clips, which began to make themselves popular about a seama aga, will be even more so this year. You will agive that clips are a very actical and versatile accessory. They may be worn in pairs at the neckline and cuff or ward of your frock. They may be used an hat and fork, ur hat and bag, or frock and bag, and may even add to the dressiness of your pumps,
EVERY waman will be pleased this year about eatings for there are many lovely ones. Some of them are quite elaborate. Bui it is not good faslum to wear the larger car kings when you wear a necklace. Either should be worn alone this season to be quite correct, for the keynote of all fashions is to avoid ex aggeration.
Of course, every smart, woman will want a tailored rus this year, probably with a short jacket, and she will find it very amusing fo plan two or thee ensembles around the same suit. basing the ensemble on one of the most important accessories of the season: the scarf. Many scarfs are offered for your choice, par ticularly in the new plaids or polka dot silki.. set off in gay colors.
Sporta frocks, tou, will want seals, but the chic woman will remember that the scarf must be part of the theme of the whole costume. A charming new note in the mock is the evening scarf. Sometimes it is very elaborate and very large, trimmed with fine lace and even ap- proaching a cape in size,
You will be pleased to see this year that ac cessories have a great deal of fine handwork- new little cuffs, especially, with the finest of hand embroidery. Handkerchiefs are preferred with delicate hand embroidery, drawnwork, o even hand-made lace. Charming touches of handwork will be seca, too, on the blouses worn with the smartest auits.

of unusual detail. Again and again, you will see the two or three-tone theme of a single color carried out in this jewelry. Bracelets are to be worn a great deal, several of them at a time often, but always group of bracelets that make an artistic pattern, never merely thrown together because you happen to have them.
The new bags develop the season's keynote of careful simplicity in their styling. Many of them are shown in crepe de chine.. Alligator will be particularly important in leather bags, many of the bags being trimmed with the alli galor's claw. Shoes are quite original this sea son. featuring much detail, including unusual cutout sandals for evening wear. Often two leathers, or fabrics, or two tones of leather. are combined in the smartest shoes.
1. FOR the rainy day costume, there is noth- ing more perfect than this knitted jersey in blue and white, worn with an ever-so-smart silk scarf of blue and white polka dots. The tiny "roll-your-own knitted cap was made abroad, The trim and is of an exceptional fineness. umbrella has its handle in leather and ebony. and the large flat bag of blue leather has a broad band of silver metal.
II. CAN you imagine anything lovelier to wear with a simple white evening frock than this evening scarf of white velvet with a wide border of fine black lace? Certainly the costume has a rare effectiveness, an air of to- mantic grace,
III. THE jabot, an old-fashioned word for that little bit of trimming women have worn at the neckling through all fashion. ages. now appears in a really new manner in this necklace of red and white beads. Doesn't it add a lovely note to the simplicity of the frock? And the smart cuffs also have a very new idea. They are of the finest handkerchief linen, embroidered with the wearer's initials, and they are on a ribbon band so that they may be taken off and changed easily,

IV. IN the mood of the exquisite simplicity of the new evening frock are these charming earrings of crystal and old gold, fash joned like a bunch of grapes. The bracelet is in old gold and crystal to match, a distinctly youthful ensemble.
V. SO much of the character of the evenina ensemble this season depends on the eve ning jacket. It is always youthful, always somehow delicate, rather than of a heavy wrap- piness, and its color may add a note of contrast to the costume. We select this little jacket of white silk, with sleeves that fatter lovely armu. Crystal it a most particular favorite for eve ning now; and this striking set of crystal balls is a sort of highlight for face and arms. Note bow the two long rhinestone clips add just the right touch to the evening bag of white silk.
VI. ROMANTIC coral has always been
a favorite of the women of every land, and this year fashion has decided to endorse it fieartily, sometimes in one tone, sometimes in several tones, or wom in two strands of differ ent tenca.
