PEOPLE'S CONVENTION
QUESTION OF HONGKONG REPRESENTATION,
The question of whether Chinese merchants in British and Portu guese Colonies should be represent- ed at the coming Kuomintang National People's Convention, sum- moned by Marshal Chlang Kai-rhek, at Nanking, for May 5th. formed the subject of a warm debate at the monthly meeting of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, yesterday afternoon.
The Secretary, Mr. Chan Heung pak, rend a letter from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Macao. which called the attention of the local Chamber to the fact that the Nanking Government had falled to invite both commercial Ladies to participate in the National Con-
vention.
The Chairman, Mr. Li Yick-mui, pointed out that he understood that only Kuomintang members could participate in the Convention, and said it was possibly on account of Invitation and been this that no
