TRIBUTE TO MR. JAMES STEWART.
The Impending departure from the Colony on retirement of Mr. James Stewart, of Taikoo Dock, after having been a popular and enthusiastic mem- ber and official of the V.R.C. for many years, was mentioned at the annual meeting of the Club, hold yesterday avening under the chairmanship of Mr. W. Logan.
As a mark of courtesy, Mr. Stewart was elected an Honorary Life Mom- ber, on the proposition of the chair- man, seconded by Mr. H. andman. in addition, he was presented with the diploma and badge of the Royal Life Saving Society of England, theso having arrived in time for the moot. ing."
In addressing the gathering on the annual report, the chairman said:
