SATISFACTORY REPORT OF YEAR'S ACTIVITIES.
In our own school examination, ten girls finished satisfactorily the third year course of the Middle School; twenty-two girls completed the work of the Primary School: while seventeen little people have finished the two yeara' course which the Kindergarten offers an an in- uftroduction to school life.

But when I see the part they are playing in the world. I cannot help feeling that it is a challenge to the girls of this new generation not to take their opportunities for grant- ed but as to use them, that when their turn comes, they will be able to make no less worthy a contribu tion to society than previous gen- erations of Ying Wa girls have done and are doing to-day.
