An Attractive Scene.

The interior of the City Hall presented a gay and attractive scene. From the entrance, national flags and hunting draped the walls, and in the two ballrooms, similar emblems were effectively displayed. Bunting and multi- coloured streamers were suspend- ed across the ceilings, whilst on the verandaha, the gay emblems of many nations completed . colourful scene.

Leading of from the two ball- rooms was a lounge, whilst the verandahs proved popular sources of rendezvoUA during the in- tervals. These were laid out with comfortable chairs and settees, whilst two bars supplied the needs for light refreshments.
