New President.

The report and accounts having been duly adopted, the usual honoraria voted to the Hon. Sveretary, Hon. Treasurer and the Bar convener. In proposing Mr. G. E. F. Thomp Ron as the new President for the cn- suing year, Mr. Nish said:

In the light-Weights, the only bout was hetween A. B. Baldwin and Stoker Jobbins. Baldwin took tho first round, with Jobbins tea inclined to cover up, though the second spell was more oven, Jobbins getting in one ur two good bangs to the bond, though not enough to turn the scale of points in his favour, and Baldwin ran out easily in the last round.

Welter-weighta.

Stoker Yarnol} defeated a game opponent in A. B. Pattie, who has a very hard punch but got few chances to use it. There was rather too much of swinging by both men, and Yarnell stopped too lucky ones to go to the floor, but won through the possession of the more science.

Tel, Meinness won on points from A. B. Cannon in a spirited match, beth boxing well though there was not enough ating in the blown for either to be badly damaged.

A. B. Hieks was more or less a dancing-master when he met A. B. Wyness, and his reach gave him the advantage, so that he could jump in and land a smart tap, and get away bofore a counter could take effect. Hicks did well in the close work to- wards the end, and his leads gave him the verdict.

Although A. D. Kaye had not been aren in any ring before loat night. eren as a novice, he gave a good display against A. B. Marsh, and was genme to the end, getting one or two shrewd blows in during the last round that gave Marsh a bit of the jim- jama. Marah's guard was too good for Kaye, and he could not find the target except in the in-8ghting.

From last night's bouts, Marsh and Yarnell will probably contest the find), and the first-named should just about win.

Middles and Heavies,

The mille-weights produced rather a tame bout between Mine. Carter and Musn. Skinner, the latter being saved from a k., by the gong in the rat round, with some improvement in the other spells. Carter was too good for Skinner, and kept his head the better when both got close to swap punches.
