7. In order to ascertain the burden of any ship liable to pay Ship's burden light dues under this Ordinance, the person authorized to collect to lo mer such dues may require the owner, master, or other person in command of such ship, or any person having possession of the certain cases. same, to produce the register of such ship for the inspection or such person; and, upon the refusal or neglect of snch owner of master to produce such register; or to satisfy the person autho- rized to collect such dues as to what is the true burden of the ship, it shall be lawful for such person to cause such ship to be measured at the expense of the master thereof, and such expense shall be recoverable in the same manner as dues payable under this Ordinance; and such measurement shall be deemed to be the real burden of the ship, aud may be treated as such for all the purposes of this Ordinance.
8. The master of any ship who shall attempt to depart from the waters of this Colony without paying the light dues in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance; or, who shall refuse to have his ship measured to ascertain her burden in tons; or who shall obstruct any person in the duties of his office, shall
be subject to a penalty not exceeding two hundred dollars.
Damage to Lights, Buoys and Beacons.

Prevention of False Lights.
XXXIII. Whenever any fire or light is burnt or exhibited at Harbour such place, or in such manner, as to be liable to be mistaken for a Master may light proceeding from a lighthouse, it shall be lawful for the prohibit false Harbour Master to serve a notice upon the owner of the places. A.

2. If any owner or person served with such notice, as afore if not obeyed, said, neglects for a period of twenty-four hours to extinguish or he may abate effectually screen, the light or fire therein mentioned, it shall be such lights. lawful for the Harbour Master, by his servants or workmen, to enter 1854. sec. CHAPTER III.
IMPORTATION AND STORAGE OF GUNPOWDER.
XXXIV. The Governor is hereby empowered to provide, at Vessels and the expense of the Colony, all necessary vessels and places on land places ou land for the storage of gunpowder, and no gunpowder arriving in this to be provided Colony shall be stored in any other place or vessel except, for storage of as provided by paragraph 10 and subject to the observance of the (Ordinance rules and regulations to be made under paragraph 12 of this à of 1867,

4.
