Carving
to loss of appetite and general malaise he had been
of
sustaining himself by the use spirits the result of which was an irritable, stomach and congestion of the liver. I warned him at the
time of the evil effects it had on him and I reported the matter
to Mr Stewart, the Head Master.
Later in
January or February I
saw him again and then
recommended that he should
apply for leave to return home to
which he was entitled as
saw
that owing to his solitary life and consequent mental despondency,
he was
again sustaining himself -
by the use of spirits.
