Robert Gibb's famous picture of "The Thin Red Line" representing the stand by the 93rd Highlanders (now the 2nd Bn. The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, at present in Hongkong) during the Battle of Balaclava, in 1854, the anniversary of which is to-day, October 25th.
These pictures show a miniature golf course laid out on a lawn at The Peak. In top photograph are seen some of the novel hazards, whilst in the bottom pictures others are indicated, including a disused motor-car tyre which has to be played through, and an inverted half of a pumelo skin just above one of the holes.
