MEETING HELD TO DISCUSS FORMATION,
A meeting attended by over thirty Yorkshiremen was held last night to discuss the formation of a society of Yorkshiremen in Hong- kong. The subject was thoroughly debated and it was decided that such a society be formed in the near future,
A Committee was appointed to draw up tentative rules and to suggest the best means of running the society. A further general meeting is to be held in October to pass the rules and elect officers for
the year.
The convenor of the meeting an nounced that he had promises of support from 60 other Yorkshire- men, and all those Interested aro requested to communicate with the acting Hon. Secretary P. O Boz No. 800, Hongkong.
