It is noted in the Gazette that the Secretary of State for the Co- lonies has, on the recommendation of the Director of Colonial Audit, London, approved of the appoint ment of Mr. Percival Lorimer Collis son, O.B.E., Auditor of the Uganda Protectorate, to be Auditor of Hong kong in succession to Mr. H. R. Phelips, retired. The appointment is to date from August 28th.

Mr. P. L. Collisson, O.BE. He (Military), is 47 years of age. was educated at Warminster and King's College, London, and in 1901 was appointed examiner of the E. and A. Department. In 1905, he served in the Colonial, Audit Branch, and in the following year he was examiner of accounts, OR.C. In January, 1908, he re- joined the Colonial Audit Branch.

In September, 1908, Mr. Collis- son was appointed Assistant Audi- tor to Northern Nigeria, and in 1909-10 he was Acting Colonial Auditor. In 1914, he became 2nd Class Clerk of Colonial Audit, and in 1916 he was Military Auditor with the East Africa. Ex- peditionary Force, being twice men- tioned in despatches. He became Senior Assistant Auditor the East Africa Protectorate in 1919, Acting Auditor in 1920, and in 1922 was appointed Auditor in Fiji. He held a similar post in North Rhodesia in 1924 and has been Auditor in Uganda since Septem- ber, 1927.
