TYLES have crystallized by this time so that you can practically buy costumes by your age as well as by your size.
Not that I expect any of you to step into a store and say. "20 years old, size 14, please!"
But I do expect you to buy the kind of clothes that will befit that precious youth of yours. Avoid ultra fashions. Avoid the truly sophisticated. Why on earth should you want to look like sophisticated grandmothers when you are young things with the priceless bloom of freshness on you?
Simplicity in line, nothing exaggerated, colon that are clear, materials that express crisp or delicate freshness. These are the guide posts. "Follow them.
IF it's a party dress you want, avoid the much be

You will find yourself acting dig- nified and grownup! No romping in this gown. please! But I think that kind of a feeling is fine. I'm all for it. It is the ultra-siren type of undulating.gown that I advise against-dignity, rather than vapish ness, is the keynote.

IL THIS little suit features a coat and skirt in
greenish yellow tweed, a color very good with Fresh skins. The blouse is lemon-colored georgette and has an unusual collar, a tricky collar that no one but a youngster should wear. It has only a half collar. the front half. The back is just finished neckline. It buttons up the front clear to the throat and disdaine the addition of even a collar. Smart, simple, suitable. gown made for both informal and formal wear. It is pale green satin, made very long, so that it trails a bit on both the sides and in the back. The bodice is draped to the waistline, with a tight effect below but flaring to give a young line by use of wide flouncing.
The unusual feature of this gown is its cape bertha. a little contrivance which is removable, which is short bolero length in front and well below the waistline in back. You slip your arms through it, map it but under the chin and you're fixed for informal occasions, Take off the berths and you have a real decolletage, fit for the most formal dinner and dance, of the season.

Over this is a simple white knitted. cardigan, with dull-finished "white" buttons. On one side a red monogram appears.
The floppy white hat is of paillaisson, trimmed" with a red grosgrain ribbon of four-inch width. White sports, shoes, with red leather saddles and lacings, make a nice accessory. It is a very distinguished outfit,
