A charge of murder, when three accused men were acquitted at the Criminal Sessions, is recalled by an application for letters of ad- ministration to the estate Choung Hung-chun, alias. Cheung Hon-ching, a buddhist priest, whose dead body was found at his house, The Motor Vessel, No. 3, Sha Po Road, Kowloon City, on February 15, this year.
Three men, Tee Ping alias Tse Ki-chau, Cheng Luk and Sun Tam were charged with the murder at the March Sessions before the Chief Justice (Sir Joseph Kemp) but unanimous verdicts of "not guilty" were returned and the men were discharged.
The property left. in Hongkong has been valued at $1,000 and let ters of administration have been granted to his brother, Cheung Yum alias Cheung Ho, market gar- dener, living at Nga fu Tau. Kowloon City. Deceased was not
married and had no concubine.
At Messrs. Lammert's auction [rooms yesterday, Mr. .L.E. Lam- mert disposed of three Canton wharves and
