Great landslides have occurred at the potash mines at Vienenburg, near Brunswick. Many of the mines have collapsed. Craters have appeared, some 30 or 40 A stretch of rail- yards across. way embankment has disappeared. With three companions, the manager of the mines had a nar- row escape. Their car, fell down a crater, and they got out with difficulty. Offices of the mines are being cleared, as they may col- spreads lapse if the movement further.
