SUMMONED FOR SPEEDING

IN CAR

Lieut. OB Younger of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlan ders was fined $10 on appearing on remand before Mr. Whyte Smith at the Kowloon Magistracy yestar- day afternoon on a summons for speeding in a motorcar in Lalchi kok Road on June 2.

The defendant pleaded guilty. He was alleged to have travelled at a speed of 36 miles an hour be tween the junction of Nathan and Prince Edward Roads to near the Shamshulpo Police Station. His maximum speed was stated to have been 35 miles per hour while in places he had to reduce speed. There was quite a number of people about at the time although there was no vehicular traffic.

Lieut. Younger Intimated that he could not state defnitely, what his speed had been, but thought he had been going between 30 to 35 miles an hour.

His Worship imposed a fine of
