Two men were found sitting dead' on a couch, as though they had been talking together and had fallen asleep.
The men were William Ather- ton Parkes, aged 60, a, debt col lector, and James Beconsall, aged 30, an unemployed clerk,
Mr. Arthur Herbert, with whom Parkes lodged in Hawthorn-road, Blackpool, went to Beconsall's flat to seek news of his lodger, who had not returned the previous night.
