London, June 5. Nottinghamshire beat Worces tershire by ten wickets at Wor- cester to-day. Worcester batted first and made a total of 122, Larwood taking five wickets for 46 runs.
Carr gave a very bright batting display when Notts. went to the wicket He contributed 101 of the total of 262, being still at the wicket when the innings came to an end. Brooke took six wickets for 80.
Worcester replied with 172, Arthur Staples taking five wickets for 36 runs.
Nottinghamshire got the necas sary 33 runs for victory without the loss of a wicket.

who fired. off last Saturday. They have set Singapöre quite a formidable task to win the trophy.
The Shanghai team fired on the morning of May 28 and returned a total of 937 points. The scoring throughout was very consistent, there being only a difference of twelve points between the top and the bottom men.

NANKING WARNS POWERS.
RESENTS SUPPLY OF ARMS TO REBELS,
Shangahi, June 5: The Nanking Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. C. T. Wang has sent telegrams to Mr. Wang Yung-pao, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Japan, and Mr. Chianir Tao-pin, Chinese Minister to Germany, re questing them to lodge official protests to the Japanese and "German Governments respectively, against the supplies of arms and munitions to the Northern Govern. ment now fighting against Nan- king. The protests were lodged with the two Governments con cerned in view of the receipt of reliable information by Nanking officials that the victories of the Shansi-Kuominchun rebels in Shantung.. Honan and Hupeh tre the outcome of their receiving ex- tensive supplies of arms purchased from either Japan or Germany.
Japanese Withdrawal. Japanese residents at Tsinanfu are prepared to withdraw to Tsing tao At a moment's notice from their Consulate officials. All the foreign consuls at Teinanfu have wired to their Legation authorities at Peking urging the Northern and Nationalist Governments should be warned that no fighting should be indulged in near Tsinanfu which would endanger foreign life and property.

It is semi-officially reported from Tokyo that the Japanese Consular officials have advised their nationals at Tainan evacuate the place, "in view of the fact that the fall of the city to the Northerners is considered only a question of time."
As, however, many are unable to leave Tsinan owing to business. and other reasons, reinforcements from Tsingtao are being sent to the police station attached to the 845 Japanese Consulate.
