LARGEST & FASTEST STEAMSHIP
ON THE PACIFIC
THE First Class Staterooms on the Empress
of Japan are designed and finished with the same art and luxury as the public rooms. Generally speaking, they are all, outside rooms, with ship's side lights, and are provided with bed- steads in lieu of berths. Intercommunicating doors are fitted between. practically all the First Class Staterooms, thus enabling them to be let in groups of two or more, as required. Electric lighting is on a lavish scale, and the usual steam heating and ball louvre ventilation of the most perfected type are supplemented by electric fans and plugs for electric heating. Wardrobes with pier-glass mirrors, dressing-tables with triple fold- ing mirrors, and pedestal washbasins with running hot and cold fresh water are some of the many modern improvements introduced throughout.

Mr. Prior maintained that Mr. Brayfield was entitled to use the tickets as he was a member of the Club when they were issued to him.
Mr. Brayfield Worried? Mr. Baker intimated that he should have surrendered the unused tickets to the Golf Club and had a refund.
