to do so na quicky as

as possible:

Members of the Chamber of Com- merce Rubber Association were in- formed this week that the replies received in response to an enquiry as to whether they were in favour or not of closing the market on the after noons of mid-week race days showed that the majority were against clos- ing. The rubber market would therefore remain open in future.

sceptical of his story.

Before the shooting (according to the alleged "confession") there had been a quarrel between Mr. Taylor and a well-known moving picture "star" at the director's home.

Rinaldo has stated that he followed a famous film “star,” with whom he was friendly, to Mr. Taylor's home on the night of the murder.

While standing outside the apartment he heard an alterca- tion proceeding between the' nct- Tesa and the director.

Later he entered. the apartment and remonstrated with Mr. Taylor, who, eccording to Rinaldo, drew

a gun.

A scuffle followed between the: two men for the possession of the weapon, during which the

director was killed.
