At a cost of $150,000, what was once a neglerted rocky site to the south of Messrs. R. Corney and Co.'s factory at Tai Hang. Causeway Bay, has been transformed into a terrace of modern tenement houses, as shown in this pic- ture. The land was originally granted for development under the 40 years' free lease scheme, brought into operation dur- ing the housing shortage in 1993 Messrs. Shum Wai-yau, Chan Kai and the late Lam Kin-sang, of the S. C. M.. Post staff, were the sponsors of this particular project, whilst Mr. H. M. Siu, was the architect.
