Instances have oc- curred where motorist have been under the impression that proof of; home membership will admit them to the H.K.A.A.. but this is, of course, not the case. DRASTIC TRAFFIC REGULATIONS IN

PARIS.

Causes of excitement in Paris-a pedestrian's traffic light at left, and congestion où a narrow

street at right.

Quite a large number of local motorists are under a mistaken im- pression concerning the action to be taken when the red light is against them at Garden Road. A driver proceeding on an easterly course along Queen's Road, is quite right in continuing when the red light is showing, for the simple reason that he is merely following the line of traffic along that road. Driving down Garden Road a driver desiring to turn left Into Queen's Road, may also ignore the red signal for the same reason. If, on the other hand, he,desires to turn right In order to proceed in the direc tion of Wanchai, he then must await the green signal, and it should be stressed that such drivers should keep as near to the centre of the road as possible, in order to allow other traffic to pass on their left turning into Queen's Road in westerly direction. The due ob- servance of these rules will greatly

Combining the features of both lighter and heavier than air craft, Haakon K. Hammer, member of the famed Amundsen expedition, has constructed the model drigi-plane shown here. Actual construction of such a ship is expected to com- mence shortly in Los Angeles. It will be 300 feet long, with a wing spread of 210 feet.
