Red and sore hands frequently result from constant use of water, especially where the supply is very hard. A water-softener will often produce wonderful results. Wash the hands is warm soapy water, with a good super-fatted soap. Thoroughly dry on a clean soft towel, and treat with a salve of consisting of equal parts glycerine, vaseline, and lanoline.
