AN "EVIL EXAMPLE.”
A charge was preferred against two women and a man, before Mr. Whyte Smith at the Kowloon Ma- gistracy this morning, of trying to dissuade the complainants in a police case, from attending Court. The full charge against the de- fendants is in the following word- ing:

A strong recommendation that the precautions for junk masters' when carrying dangerous goods should be strictly observed was made by Mr. J. Fraser, District Officer North, when he held an en- quiry at Gin Drinker's Bay yester day in connexion with a fire on board the junk, T1055H, which occurred in Gin Drinker's Bay at 1.30 am. on February 22, when the junk was carrying kerosene and gasolene.
