The scene outside the Quirinal Palace in Rond after the wedding of the Prince of Piedmont and Princess Marie Jose in the, Pauline Chapel. Our pleture was taken by a photographer of The Times wher the Royal party appeared on the balcony of the Palace immediately after the et mony and were greeted by a storm of cheering from the dense and enthusiastic crowds in the Piazza del Quirinale below. In an appeal for further public assistance for the Durham Castle Preservation Fund, it is stated that £25,000 le urgently needed for the completion of only that part of the work necessary to remove the im A photograph of the drawing, specially prepared for The Times by Mr. Sydney R. Jones, in collaboration with Mr. W. T. Jones (who is in charge of the work of restoration) showing how the tank is being part of the drawing will be seen one of the tunnels, the left-hand portion consolidated and the right-hand portion open, in which the lower steel ties are laid in concrete. On the left of the picture is one of the concrete to, which the steel ties holding in the western wall are anchored. On the lower platform of the staging is shown the method of boring the walls for the ties, and on the middle platform Is the Leaway
