The game was between the long kung Ladies Hockey Club and the Indice section of the Club de Recreio. Shortly after the start the game was abandoned but after some delay it was possible to continue the match which was played under very difficult con-

ditions.

M

The ladies from the Island proved themselves the more experienced but team fought hard the Portuguese against a better combination. They are new comers to the game and did well to hold the visiting players down to three goals, the Recreio players scoring once in reply.

It will be recalled that in the pre- vious match the Kowloon Ladies scored alx goals to one against the Portuguese team so that the game between the Hongkong and Kowloon Ladies in a fortnight's time well prove an interesting manich.

Another Account...

During the first half, Hongkong attacked most of the time, with a few Occasional raide by the Recreio.

From a clever combined attack in which all of the Hongkong forwards participated, N. McNeillie

opened the sturing with a shot which gaye L. Xavier no chance,

The Recreio then made progress through A. Roza, but E. Gray cleared and returned play to the other end. Several unproductive corners fell to Hongkong, the Recreio defence prov fug enfe, and L. Xavier in goat making two very good' saves."
