A message, from Newport, Rhode Island, states that three members of the crow of the Black Duck, a steamer laden with liquor, wara shot dead, and a fourth man wounded, in an encounter with; A coastguard cutter near the mouth of Naragansett Bay.

A Second Seizure.

A message from the latter place gives details of another liquor running onedunter, stating that a hundred ton vessel named the Florelmar, belleved to be British, was seized while on fire' off Mon tauk Point by a coastguard cutter.

"Liquor valued at £30,000 in re- ported to have been found on board the ship, the crow of which had escaped in the fog after set- ting are to the vessel Reuter's American Service,
