As the Selyukai holds a majori ty in the Jower House of 239 to is freely reported that the Govern- ment has tentatively decided to dissolve the Diet about January 23 for the purpose of seeking a working majority at the polls after the Foreign and Finance Ministers have announced their policies.

All broken, chafed and damaged goods are to be left in the Godown.. where they will be examined by Messrs. Anderson and Ashe on the 24th December, 1929 at 10 a.m.

All claims against the vessel must be presented to the Undersigned be fore the 31st December, 1020 or they will not be recognised.

Some close observers think it kely, however, that the Govern ment will strive to postpone the dissolution until the Naval Coned ference in London has been con- cluded, as a general election dur- ing its progress would tend to distract the Government's atton- tion..

Moreover, owing to the expense and disturbance of trade involved, many consider it inadvisable to plunge the country Into the throes of a general election so soon after the lifting of the gold embargo on January 11, the im- mediate effects of which require careful attention.-Reuter,
