Glanders is regarded as serious complaint in the veterinary world. Its syinptoms are frothing nt the mouth and none of the animal, and it is extremely inee- tious. To ascertain whether "an animal is suffering from glanders what is known as the Mallein Test Is applied, and the whole of the ponies in the Jockey Club stables will receive this test before the quarantine ban is lifted.

In certain rare cases the disenso can be transferred from an animal to a human being, while it is"de Anitely known that glanders can be given to an animal by a human agency.
