The followers of the notoriousing Act 2. Poon Chi made a bold attempt to seize the villages of Kweichow, and Yung Kee, known for their rich in silk production. The 251st Canton Regiment, formerly stationed there, had evacuated for the North River, and but for the stubborn resistence of the village guards the Yung Kee district would certainly have fallen into the hands of the brigands, the latter, however, retiring after an "unsuccessful attempt to enter the

rich silk district..

1:

After their failure at Yung Kee, Poon Chi and his followers have appeared in the Un Kor Tsul and Targ Sai Ma Ling districts, molesting towed boats and cargo junks. Similar bandit activities are reported from the Nam Hoi, Pun Yue and Shun Tak districts. although not

large on such scale.
