in the presence of a good crowd of turf enthusiasts. The classic event, the St. Leger, went to Mrs. Dun- bar's Haiwatha, Mr. Soares up, which won with ease. In the "A" Class Handicap, some fine racing was seen, and Boxing Eve (Mr. Charles up) came in first but was later disqualified for bumping and boring. Winsome Stag being de- clared the winner.
