CROSS-EXAMINATION OF COMPLAINANT CASE.
Wong Sook-to, partner in the Wing Hing Tailoring firmi ul complainant in the case in which he is charging another partner, Ynu Ra-wai, with embezzlement of capital funds and forgery of a, Chinese borrowing note, continued his testinohy under cross- esamination by Mr. F: C. Jenkin, yesterday when the case was re- amed before Mr. A. W. G. II. Giantham at the Central Magis- tracy.
Witness referred to torn leaves from account books which he found in a waste-paper basket, and which appeared amangst a large mass of decunients exhibited in the case. He was questioned with regard to Exhibit "", an extracted leaf of; what was known as the inner counter book which, he said, he found on the premises during a starch,
Mr. Jenkin: And you say you thought it came from the 1929 book but you found it, instead, in the 1928, book?--Yes,

This entry refers to only $8,000 whereas the book discloses $10,000.
