Replying, Dr. Fawcett said he had had his say at the last meeting The inhabitants of, the Colony of the Board and all he wished to realised that where sanitation and say now was to thank members of matters pertaining to public health the Board from the bottom of his TILAWA were concerned they had need of heart. He felt that the apprecia- Calla Rangoon experts and they were always happy tion they had expressed was to be to co-operate with such experts, al-highly valued because it had been bullied them in one way or another. though they preferred them to re- suggested that he had abused and main in an advisory capacity.
It was indeed to be regretted that "Dr. Fawcett was determined to leave. If he had remained a trifle longer he would perhaps have understood the difficulties of the Colony and perhaps could have helped Hongkong a good deal.
If that had been done, then it had been done with only one object -to bring Hongkong up to a pro per standard of public health for the benefit of humanity in general. The only excuse or justification for Insistence was that one should try and leave the world a little better when one left than when one ar rived.
"We have sore need of scientific efficiency and men who would speak their minds and it is to be pitied. "If that can be said of my short that we could not make it worth stay in Hongkong then I am one while for such men to live here of the most contented of men," he and assist us in making Hongkong added.
